For their latest release, This Is War, rock group Thirty Seconds to Mars asked their fans to send in pictures of themselves for a chance to be displayed on the cover of their new album.

More than a collage, the band actually used the photos to create more than 2,000 different versions of the album.

Since the album’s release, fans have been on the hunt to find the covers with their faces on it. In an interview with Spinner Magazine, the band’s Jared Leto explained:

“We saw someone last night who had found their face in France and had it mailed to them in Chicago. We’ve seen those kind of stories all over the country. There’s a scavenger hunt aspect, a collectors’ aspect to it.”
